While living in Japan and studying the language I discovered a passion for making my learning process more engaging through various games –that’s the teacher in me. Counting in Japanese is a particularly complex aspect of the language so I came up with a way to use a deck of cards to learn ‘counters’. Each card portrays captivating images from my travels including the iconic Mt. Fuji, Hakone’s Heiwa No Tori gate, the secluded Seiganto-ji Pagoda, and historical Osaka Castle.
