In 2018, I was a part of the University of Maine Art Education Community Outreach program (U.M.A.E.C.O.) where we worked with a wonderful group of Indigenous women who worked with domestic abuse survivors. They also educated us on their culture and appropriation of land in Northern Maine. We created artwork based on indigenous stories which was hand-printed on t-shirts, and sold at the university. We raised over $3,000 which was all donated to the group.
